Make your own Christmas decorations in this fun workshop. Discover the magic of Kipling's 'Rewards and Fairies' in the house and garden with our woodland Christmas theme. Come and see the house decorated for Christmas. See if you can spot the fairies that have taken up residence in some of the books in Kipling's study and admire all the woodland decorations. There'll be more to look for in the garden too. Pick up one of our winter garden trails and see if you can solve the clues and win a prize.

Exhibition: Sing a song for sixpence 2nd - 21st December 11am - 4pm We will be taking a nostalgic look at nursery rhymes in the gallery this Christmas, as we celebrate Maud and Leonard Messel's Christmas tradition of giving books to local children. We have handpicked some of the most interesting books from the Nymans archive to display and we will delve into their sometimes surprising histories and backgrounds. The exhibition will feature traditional examples from the Victorian heyday of illustrated rhymes as well as some modern interpretations. There will also be a cosy story space for our younger visitors to enjoy. This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.

This Christmas our younger visitors can join one of our story telling sessions in our Woodland Grotto.
