Exhibition: The Snowman and The Snowdog Sat 17th November 2018 to 2nd January 2019
This winter, the gallery will host an exhibition of original artwork from The Snowman™ and The Snowdog, featuring behind-the-scenes drawings and preparatory sketches.This year marks the 40th anniversary of the publication of The Snowman, written and illustrated by Sussex author Raymond Briggs. The iconic character later teamed up with a canine friend for new adventures in the 2012 film The Snowman™ and The Snowdog.

Come and meet our giant Snowdog friends in the garden this Christmas.A selection of statues from the popular Snowdog art trails will be dotted around the garden at Nymans over Christmas. Each Snowdog has a different design, which will be your favourite?
Drop-in Christmas crafts 1st - 2nd December 2018
Join us for family craft activities inspired by the knitted textures in The Snowman™ and The Snowdog. At this workshop we will be making sock puppet Snowdogs. Suggested donation £3
The Snowman and The Snowdog: pop up screening 2nd, 13th & 20th December 10:30 - 11am
This Christmas come and enjoy a screening of this family film in our gallery where we are displaying some of the original artwork. With a running time of just under half an hour, this relaxed event is perfect for little ones. Snuggle up among cushions and blankets on the floor in our cosy gallery. Cost £3.50 each.
Following the short film you can visit the exhibition to see some of the original artwork and then go on search for a Snowdog in the garden.

Storytime with Woodland Santa 1st - 23rd December 2018
Visit Santa's woodland grotto and enjoy a magical Christmas story in the company of the man himself. This Christmas our younger visitors can join a storytelling session in our woodland grotto. After a walk through the wintery garden, settle down in the grotto and enjoy a Christmas story, and after meet Santa and receive a small present and a cup of hot chocolate. £8 per child

Christmas wreath walk at Saddlescombe farm 17th - 21st December 2018
Create your own Christmas wreath with materials collected from the downs. Morning and afternoon sessions available. Take a festive walk and collect your holly and ivy. Return to historic Saddlescombe farm to make your very own Christmas wreath in our cozy learning barn. Log burning stove, mulled apple juice, mince pies and roast chestnuts will all be included. BODIAM CASTLE: Archetypal 14th century moated castle with ruined interior - a glimpse of medieval splendour.
As the summer fades and the great oak trees around the castle slowly begin to adopt their autumn colours, come and explore the castle with the family. Discover the beauty of autumn. At this time of year the castle is much quieter and so families can enjoy spending time exploring all the nooks and crannies of the castle.
Climb the towers and admire the seasonal colours of the trees from the top and the amazing views out across the River Rother. Imagine you are Sir Edward surveying all your land before you but take care as you climb the steep spiral staircase up to the top.
