SEALIFE Brighton ASCARIUM 20th October - 4th November.
Immersive in-tank trail, celebrating the creepy creatures of the deep – help the Sea Witch find the magic potion ingredients and claim your treasure.
Take a step into the creepy deep at SEA LIFE Brighton this Halloween and navigate the Ascarium; an immersive trail which takes you past some of the scariest sea creatures. For a limited time only, five potion ingredients will be hidden in various tanks throughout the Ascarium, and guests will need to find them before making their way to the Sea Witch’s lair. Along the way, guests will discover facts about some of the freakiest creatures of the sea, including blob fish, African tiger fish, goblin sharks and barrel eye fish. Once all of the items have been located, the Sea Witch will cast her magic spell and open the treasure chest, giving those who successfully navigate the trail a reusable Ascarium cup. And that’s not all, SEA LIFE Brighton will play host to a ‘selfie’ photo frame and ‘twister’ style game for guests to further immerse themselves in the spooky family fun.

Exhibition: The Snowman and The Snowdog Sat 17th November 2018 to 2nd January 2019
This winter, the gallery will host an exhibition of original artwork from The Snowman™ and The Snowdog, featuring behind-the-scenes drawings and preparatory sketches.This year marks the 40th anniversary of the publication of The Snowman, written and illustrated by Sussex author Raymond Briggs. The iconic character later teamed up with a canine friend for new adventures in the 2012 film The Snowman™ and The Snowdog.

This Christmas come and enjoy a screening of this family film in our gallery where we are displaying some of the original artwork. With a running time of just under half an hour, this relaxed event is perfect for little ones. Snuggle up among cushions and blankets on the floor in our cosy gallery. Cost £3.50 each.
Following the short film you can visit the exhibition to see some of the original artwork and then go on search for a Snowdog in the garden.

There are colouring sheets available and menacing monster shapes to decorate. If you're after a Halloween masterclass then have a go at making a pumpkin garland, paper jack o'lantern, a hanging bat or a yarn wrapped mummy.

As the summer fades and the great oak trees around the castle slowly begin to adopt their autumn colours, come and explore the castle with the family. Discover the beauty of autumn. At this time of year the castle is much quieter and so families can enjoy spending time exploring all the nooks and crannies of the castle.
Climb the towers and admire the seasonal colours of the trees from the top and the amazing views out across the River Rother. Imagine you are Sir Edward surveying all your land before you but take care as you climb the steep spiral staircase up to the top.
